10 Ways to Eat Healthy at the Mexican Cantina
"10 Ways to Eat Healthy at the Mexican Cantina | Eat This, Not That." Eat This, Not That. The No-Diet Weight Loss Solution. N.p., n.d. Web. 21 June 2012. http://eatthis.menshealth.com/slideshow/10-ways-eat-healthy-mexican-cantina#sharetagsfocus.
text in red is my input on the website.
This website says:
Avoid the:
tortilla chips (a great tip i figured out is use corn tortillas to dip instead of chips... you get a better visual of how much you're eating!!)
sour cream
queso
ground beef
anything fried
nachos (equivalent to a huge platter of chili cheese fries!)
chimichanga
desserts (flan, mexican sundae, sopapillas) (you know better than that!)

Go for the:
tostadas
corn tortillas
black beans
fajita meat
light cheese
salsa
light rice
Seviche (fresh fish or shrimp marinated with diced vegetables and plenty of lime juice)
grilled or baked fish or shrimp
soup
peppers
fiber-loaded food
high-protein food
pork
light guacamole (1 ice cream scoop is 100 calories, so be  diligent and save room for healthier foods)
shredded chicken taco meat
